Southwest Ranches
Southwest Ranches, located on the western edge of Broward County, is known for its large homes on large plots of land. Most homes are located on over an acre, and the town has worked hard to preserve its rural community atmosphere. In 2000, SW Ranches incorporated into Broward County to avoid being annexed by Pembroke Pines. The move served to help preserve the “semi-rural” lifestyle sought after by Southwest Ranches residents.
