Pembroke Pines, located in South Broward County, is the 2nd largest city in Broward after Fort Lauderdale, eleventh most populous in the state and 157th most populous in the US according to the 2006 census estimate. Pembroke Pines is located 20 minutes southwest of Ft. Lauderdale and 25 minutes north of Miami. Pembroke Pines neighboring cities include: Hollywood, Cooper City, Southwest Ranches, & Miramar. Residents have easy access to major job centers and transportation arteries via I-95, the Florida Turnpike, I-595, Ft Lauderdale International Airport, and Port Everglades.
